Guest Country

It's the fifth largest music market in Europe, ahead of other countries such as Sweden, Spain or Norway. They can rely on promising talents built around an ideal ecosystem for the creative development, which is also supported by the institutions in terms of cultural policies. Besides, they provide their own vision on internationalization. Therefore BIME is proud to host some of their most talented artists and forward-looking professionals from the music- and tech industry as Guest Country 2017.

Confirmed bands

Max Meser

Max Meser grew up in Spain and moved to Amsterdam in 2012 in order to create his own band. In October 2015 he launched his first single “Weak For Love”, but his debut wasn’t until he released his album “Change” in 2016. The singer-songwriter has recently launched his new single “Love”.

Formed in 2007, the band’s name comes from “The Wolf” of the film Pulp Fiction. Their sixth studio record “Roux-Ga-Roux”, which came out in 2016 offers straight up psychedelic blues rock. Renowned for their live shows, we are looking forward to welcome them to Bilbao. In 2015 they even launched their own record label called Electrosaurus Records.

The Grand East

They like to define their style as “Rock N Soul”. These five brothers are capable of taking the public on an out of body experience to the world of their songs. They’ve been touring through 10 of the most iconic venues in The Netherlands this Spring, and they will also play at more than 30 festivals all over the country in what seems to be such a promising year for them.

Jungle by Night

It’s a band formed by nine young boys from Amsterdam. They find inspiration in Nigerian Afrobeat and Ethiopian Jazz combined with western rock. It’s a total breakup with mainstream. The band has shaken the most important music events in the Netherlands, going from jazz festivals to even rock festivals like the Lowlands.

But that's not everything. With the next round of announcements, we will also have exciting speakers that will join us from the Netherlands. BIME will be the perfect place to find out about opportunities in the country and network with the delegates.

The Dutch road so far

It's not their first time at BIME: The Netherlands have done well to make a space for themselves along these last few years, by bringing some of the most prominent professionals of their industry, as well as proving everybody their worth in live music.
